You know what?!?!

I had a really great boss!  

Yes, it was shitty that he was so indecisive about when our work relationship would end and that it ended a month and a half before it was supposed to, but he did tell me he was planning to give me a two-week severance. His wife other the other hand told him it wasn’t fair and that he should give me 4 weeks, which is actually more corporately appropriate. Thank God for wives because he compromised and gave me 3 weeks. But either way, because our work relationship was so lenient I am grateful for whatever he was to give me. You know I like to keep my work and personal lives very separate but I shocked myself when I reached out for a hug to my boss and his wife as we said our goodbyes. The last 3 years with them was very much different but overall, a great experience. 

I am also very grateful that I am the person I am, and that I think the way I do because for the last at least eight consecutive years, I’ve always keeps more than one source of income. Before I would take on an extra gig for a while but it’s now a way of life, I mean I would probably have had ulcers by now if that was my only source of income.  

Thursday was my last day on the job so that was the day I had to kick back into gear doing deliveries. For this week deliveries were a bit slow. I worked 13 hours and made $285. My last week of pay plus my severance was $2592. I also have a WFH job which I don't get paid until next week for but one weeks for of pay for that one would be about $430. So, in all this week I made $3307. I know it’s not real because of the severance but I look at it this way – If I could do it once, I can do it again. And on top of that who in their right mind could be sad about receive that in one weeks' time.. Even if it never happens, ever again?  

At least I can find and pay for a new apartment as my lease is up in a measly 20 days!!!! 

Next week I have a delivery shift scheduled for every single day. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done that and I want to gage and see if this is feasible for a while or if I’ll be too burnt out. Happy hustling!!!
